All across Ontario, nurses are stepping up to the plate to help with the Covid-19 pandemic. Some are even coming out of retirement to help deal with an influx of calls and questions about the virus. Their willingness to go out of their way to help in times of crisis is enough to inspire hope in anyone.

Speaking of health-care professionals, a doctor in Eastern Ontario has found an inventive way to double his hospital’s ventilator capacity, if need be. He got the idea from a YouTube tutorial, and it could be one possible solution to the feared ventilator shortage in case of an even bigger Covid-19 outbreak. (Thanks to our client RB for sharing this one.)

While it may be more difficult to find hand-sanitizer on the shelves these days, certain companies are making a special effort to offer up solutions. This Niagara distillery is using its resources to make free hand-sanitizer for hospitals, police, and long-term care facilities nearby. (Thanks to our clients RB and MW who both sent this one to us!)

If you’re bored at home, check out this one-of-a-kind learning experience from Disney Imagineers. It’s a series of interactive lessons and activities on theme-park design and engineering, and it’s completely free! A great opportunity to show your kids how we can combine science, math, and creativity to make something magical.

If art and culture is more your thing, here are some amazing virtual tours and exhibits from famous museums around the world. You can explore the Guggenheim, the Van Gogh Museum, the National Museum of Anthropology, and more without ever leaving your couch! (Thanks to our client EB for this one.)

See you tomorrow!
