Like many other events this year, The Hot Docs Festival in Toronto had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Now, after weeks of deliberation, they have moved the entire event online. This means that you can enjoy 135 amazing films from the comfort of your own home, along with pre-recorded creator Q&As and live virtual events. Tickets will be on sale starting May 26th!

Nike has found a unique way to thank front-line workers during COVID-19: the company is donating 30,000 pairs of specially-designed shoes to health care professionals across the US. The shoe is called the Air Zoom Pulse, and it was created with the specific conditions of a long hospital shift in mind.

Here’s something fun for Harry Potter fans: JK Rowling’s Wizarding World website has launched a video series to bring a little cheer in these troubling times. It consists of free videos and audio recordings of celebrities reading chapters of the first Harry Potter book, starting with Daniel Radcliffe. Other videos will be posted weekly! (Thanks to RB for sharing this.)

Here’s something whimsical to brighten your day: inspired by the sketch comedy show Monty Python, a Toronto resident has set up a local branch of the Ministry of Silly Walks outside of her house. Passers-by are encouraged to commence silly walking immediately!

See you tomorrow!
