In our fast-paced, digital world, it’s nice to see some excitement around children’s literacy – the old-fashioned way, with a book in hand. But it’s not as traditional as you may think. Vending machines that dispense books written by Indigenous authors are starting to appear across the country.

Children’s Hospital Colorado has found a unique way to bring joy to its young patients. Operation Say Hi With a Snowman invites volunteers to build a snowman drawn by one of the hospital’s patients. The kids are elated to see their art work  brought to life, the volunteers benefit from being active outdoors. It’s a win-win!

If Finn were an athlete, he’d be forced to undergo drug testing. He’s. Just. That. Big. Fortunately for Finn, he’s nothing more than a supersized feline. He enjoys cuddles and affection like any other cat — he just requires a bit more space on the couch.

When Francois found himself adrift at sea for just over 3 weeks, all he had on board was ketchup, garlic powder and Maggi soup mix.   He’s since been rescued, but the powers that be at Heinz are trying to track him down.
